What 22 kWh actually buys
The Elvene Amber's headline is that 100 nautical miles at five knots on a 22 kWh pack — which implies a draw of a little over a kilowatt at that speed. That is entirely plausible for a 750 kg glassfibre hull, and it is the honest heart of the boat: at walking pace, with 1,300–2,000 W of walkable solar topping up, this is a craft that can potter all day and, in strong sun, effectively not deplete at all. The flip side is arithmetic buyers should do for themselves — the 15-knot top speed draws far more, and sustained use of it will empty the pack in a fraction of that distance. Treat the two figures as belonging to different days out.
Who it suits
Lake and sheltered-coastal owners who value silence and self-sufficiency over pace, and who like the idea of a centre console that can also sleep two in the cuddy. Seven aboard is a fair-weather number on 6.2 metres.
At €90,000 before EU VAT it is expensive against a petrol day boat of the same length, and that premium is buying the solar integration rather than performance. Anyone who wants to plane, tow, or cover ground quickly should look elsewhere. The twin 48 V outboard layout is worth asking about for redundancy and for service availability outside Finland.
