Az első teljesen sorozatgyártott szárnyas motorcsónak, amelyet az Egyesült Arab Emírségek-beli Enata Marine épít, szénszálas kivitelben. Dízel-elektromos hibrid: két 300 LE-s dízelmotor hajtja a generátorokat, amelyek a hajócsavarokat forgató két elektromos motort táplálják. Tisztán elektromos üzemmód csak 10 percig, 10 csomós sebességnél érhető el (kikötői manőverezéshez) — vagyis ez NEM tisztán elektromos hajó, a néma, szárnyakon való siklás ellenére sem. Szárnyra emelkedés 17 csomónál történik; a szárnyas üzem 20-50%-kal csökkenti az üzemanyag-fogyasztást, és a gyártó szerint 18 csomó feletti sebességnél 3-szor kisebb hullámkeltést eredményez, mint egy hasonló méretű hagyományos hajó. Hatótáv kb. 130 mérföld (113 tengeri mérföld) 30 csomós sebességnél, hibrid üzemmódban. Az IYC a kizárólagos globális értékesítési képviselő.

The Foiler is listed among electric boats and it should not be bought as one. Twin 300 hp diesels drive generators that feed the electric motors; pure-electric operation lasts about ten minutes at ten knots, which is a marina-manoeuvring allowance, not a mode of use. The 113 nm range is diesel range. Anyone shopping on emissions, running costs or fuel independence should stop here.

Who it is genuinely for

Superyacht owners and charter fleets in Monaco, Dubai and the like. As the first fully production foiling powerboat, carbon-built, carrying eight at 40 knots above the chop, it does something no conventional tender does, and the silence and smoothness while foiling are the point of the diesel-electric architecture rather than an environmental claim.

At €990,000 for 9.75 m the pricing is superyacht-tender pricing, and it should be judged against that market rather than against day boats. The engineering credibility is real; so is the dependency it creates. Foil systems, actuation and control software mean servicing will be factory-led for the foreseeable future, and the resale pool for a nine-metre foiler is narrow. Budget for support as well as purchase, and confirm what coverage Enata offers in your cruising area before committing.
