This is the most important thing to understand about Magonis's Wave e-550: the headline numbers and the headline price belong to different boats. The €33,485 entry price buys the 4 kW Torqeedo with the small battery — a quiet displacement launch, pleasant and slow. The 22-knot top speed, 28.65 kWh pack and 30 nm range belong to the 30 kW Mag Power version at €68,900. Four drivetrains are offered across that spread, and comparing the cheapest price against the fastest figures will lead you badly astray. The middle configurations are where the value case usually sits.

A genuine entry point into electric boating: lake houses, second boats, superyacht tenders, small rental fleets. The vacuum-infused hull at roughly 335–435 kg dry is light enough to trailer easily, which for anyone without a marina berth is a real and underrated advantage — and it is the reason such small motors work at all. Spanish-built with EU service access, and a 2023 Gussies award behind it.
It is a fair-weather day boat and nothing more: six people, no overnighting, sheltered water. At the €68,900 top end it faces used petrol day boats offering far more for the money to buy, though far more to run. Prices include VAT, which flatters the comparison less than it appears.
