Choosing this over the Coupe
The 305 Drophead E-Power: same Smart Speed hull, same Torqeedo Deep Blue 50i and 42.2 kWh BMW i3 pack, same optional 84.4 kWh upgrade — and €10,000 less than the Coupe. What you are buying with that difference is open sky rather than an enclosed wheelhouse. That makes the Drophead the sensible pick for Mediterranean or high-summer lake use, where the coupé's glazing is a liability rather than a shelter, and the wrong pick for anyone cruising Scandinavian or British water outside July and August. If the boat is your reason to go out in indifferent weather, buy the Coupe.
Caveats
Our record lists six berths but no cabin count, which suggests accommodation here is convertible and informal rather than the Coupe's two proper cabins — confirm the sleeping arrangement before assuming it weekends the same way. Nimbus also publishes noticeably less detail for this variant, and it is built to order, so specification and lead time are both worth pinning down in writing.
The powertrain analysis is identical to its sibling: displacement speeds, a charging window measured in overnight stays, and three-phase needed for the quick turnaround. At €255,000 it is priced against far larger conventional day boats, so the buyer is paying for silence and Swedish build quality, not for volume.
